Payment Options

Login to your InvoiceCloud  Online Account to pay by:

  • Electronic Check (no fee)
  • Credit Card ($2.75 fee; transaction limit of $500 per transaction)
  • AutoPay with Checking or Savings Account (no fee)
  • AutoPay with Credit Card ($2.75 fee; transaction limit of $500 per transaction)

By Phone:  If you need assistance processing your payment, please call (515) 283-8700. A Contact Center Representative is available to assist you Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:00 pm  Please note payments by electronic check carry no fee; however, credit/debit cards carry a $2.75 fee.

Walk-Ins: Payments are accepted at our General Office located at 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines. The Customer Contact Center is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:00 pm.  

Mail: Mail bill stub and payment to PO Box 9227, Des Moines, Iowa 50306-9227.

Drop Box: Place bill stub and payment in an envelope and in the payment drop box, located at 2201 George Flagg Parkway.

AutoPay: AutoPay is an automated payment program that automatically takes payment from your banking account on the due date. You will continue to receive a statement (mailed or electronic) so you will know in advance the amount of the payment.  Login to your online account to sign up electronically or print and return the attached AutoPay enrollment form with a voided check to Des Moines Water Works at 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, Iowa 50321.  Please Note: A valid email address is required for AutoPay enrollment.

Pay Stations:  For your payment convenience, you may make your monthly payment at most local Hy-Vee stores.  View Pay Stations for more information. 

Delayed Payment Fees
A 5% delayed payment fee will be added to your monthly bill if payment is not received in our office by the due date on the statement.

Service Termination
Failure to pay your bill timely may result in terminated service. If service is terminated and charges remain unpaid, a tax lien may be placed against the property per Iowa Code, Section 384.84. If you are unable to pay your water bill, please contact Customer Service at (515) 283-8700 to discuss payment arrangement eligibility or connect with community relief agencies. If your water service is terminated due to non payment, a fee may be charged to turn the water service off. If your check is returned for insufficient funds, an NSF fee will apply.
