Who is the Office of the CEO?
Through big-picture thinking and building strong relationships with all stakeholders of our regional utility, the Office of the CEO is responsible for leading and advocating to advance the utility and meet the needs of central Iowa water customers.
CEO and General Manager
The CEO and General Manager reports to the Board of Water Works Trustees and oversees the Senior Management Team. The CEO and General Manager actively participates in internal/external committees and organizations and serves on numerous national, regional, and community boards and committees.
External Affairs Manger
The External Affairs Manager leads, coordinates, monitors, and advocates for community, legislative and regulatory issues impacting DMWW. This position also provides leadership in community outreach efforts related to watershed planning, source water protection and environmental leadership impacting DMWW, our community and our customers.

Our team works with industry, community, and utility leaders to provide leadership on a wide variety of projects and issues associated with operating a municipal utility. Staff works closely with our Board of Trustees, who are community leaders, in formulating new policies and strategies for the utility.
