Payment Options

Effective November 30, 2020: 

Your DMWW account number has changed.  You can find your new DMWW customer/account number on a DMWW statement dated December 2020 or after.  To check your account balance or to make an online payment using DMWW’s new billing and payment system, visit www.dmww.com. Click “Log in” at the top right to be directed to our new payment system. Click pay now and enter your name and service address exactly as it appears on your DMWW statement and click submit.

If you pay through your financial institution, please update your stored information with your new DMWW customer/account number.

Payment Options

Login to your Online Account to pay by:

  • Electronic Check (no fee)
  • Direct Pay with Checking or Savings Account (no fee)
  • Credit Card ($2.75 convenience fee; transaction limit of $500 per transaction)
  • Recurring Credit Card ($2.75 convenience fee; transaction limit of $500 per transaction

Walk-Ins: Payments are accepted at our General Office located at 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines. The Contact Center is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:00 pm.  NOTE: DMWW General Office is closed to the public at this time due to COVID-19. 

Mail: Mail bill stub and payment to PO Box 9227, Des Moines, Iowa 50306-9227.

Drop Box: Place bill stub and payment in an envelope and in the payment drop box, located at 2201 George Flagg Parkway.

Direct Pay: Direct Pay is an automated payment program that automatically takes payment from your banking account on the due date. You will continue to receive a statement (mailed or electronic) so you will know in advance the amount of the payment.  Login to your online account to sign up electronically or print and return the attached DIRECT PAY sign-up form

Pay Stations: For your payment convenience, you may make your monthly payment at most local HyVee stores. The pay station may charge a fee for this service; however, these fees are not collected by DMWW.

To take advantage of this convenient option, you must present your most recent billing statement at the time of payment. To avoid an interruption in service, termination notices (red statements) are not accepted at pay stations. You must make payment on termination notices at Des Moines Water Works’ office at 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines.

Des Moines Water Works’ billing system is not directly linked to each pay station. Please allow 10 days processing time for payments to be received by Des Moines Water Works. Your account is not credited until your payment reaches Des Moines Water Works.
