Who is Botanical Center/Water Works Park?
The Botanical Center and Water Works Park are two places where events of all sizes take place. The Water Works Park has weddings, concerts, festivals, and Holly Jolly Lights. The Botanical Center offers visitors a chance to take tours of the plants that grow inside the dome. The Botanical Center also has meeting rooms and events such as weddings, concerts, and educational training.
The Botanical Center/Water Works Park Team:
Gardeners and the Grounds Crew take care of the plants and interact with visitors and groups to the Botanical Center. They also take care of the landscaping and horticulture needs of Water Works Park.
The Event Coordinators schedule events and the assist with the needs of the events at the Botanical Center and at Water Works Park.
What it’s Like to Work at the Botanical Center/Water Works Park at DMWW:
The Event Coordinators must work with customers and take care of the customers needs as it relates to the functions that are going on at the Botanical Center. Event Coordinators work evenings and weekends to better service their customers.
The Gardeners and Grounds Crew work in a variety of environments. They work inside the dome and green houses, along with work outside year round to take care of the Water Works Park and Fleur Drive median.
