Who is Finance?

The Finance Department is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, payment and mail processing, purchasing and warehouse operations. Des Moines Water Works operates the Des Moines Botanical Center and Finance is responsible for the operations.

The Finance Team:

The Finance team has a wide variety of positions which includes: accounting professionals, administrative staff, purchasing agent, inventory specialists, and event coordinators.

What it’s Like to Work in Finance at DMWW:

Every day is different in Finance. From working with a customer to schedule a meeting at the Des Moines Botanical Center, to preparing financial statements, to purchasing chemicals used in the water treatment process, new challenges present themselves each day.
