Education - DMWW Education Programs
Des Moines Water Works believes that education is a key to promoting good environmental stewardship. Because of this, four utilities - Des Moines Water Works, City of Des Moines Storm Water Utility , Metro Waste Authority, and Wastewater Reclamation Authority - joined forces to form the Urban Environmental Partnership (UEP) in the spring of 2000. Since that time, the cities of Johnston, Norwalk and Waukee have joined the UEP as Associate Members. The UEP offers a wide variety of educational programs for Des Moines area schools and youth organizations.
