Project H2O
Community Caring, Community Sharing
PROJECT H2O (Help To Others) is a voluntary program established by Des Moines Water Works to accept contributions from customers to financially assist
low-income households in Des Moines, Ankeny, Polk County, Windsor Heights, and Warren County with payment of their water bills.
Since Des Moines Water Works is a local utility, every dollar you give helps someone in our community.
How are recipients selected?
The Salvation Army, an outside, nonprofit agency and PROJECT H2O partner, uses a formula with specific criteria to determine who is eligible to receive funds. Each qualified applicant may receive up to $125 annually.
How do I contribute?
Contributing is easy! Simply complete the printable pledge card from this web site. Indicate whether you would like to make a one-time donation or a monthly pledge. Mail or drop off your pledge form, along with your contribution, if applicable, to: Des Moines Water Works, 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, Iowa 50321-1190.
